Overview

The Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District (LCJVSD) is seeking competitive bids for the procurement of a fleet of three (3) matching trucks and three (3) trailers, ensuring consistency in functionality, appearance, and maintenance. The selected vendor must provide all necessary equipment, warranties, and service agreements in accordance with the specifications outlined below.

Specifications

General Requirements

• Compliance: All equipment must meet local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Uniformity: All trucks must be identical in make, model, and configuration
• Condition: All trucks and trailers must be fully operational, road-ready, and recently inspected
• Documentation: Vendor must provide inspection reports and service records for all units
• Warranty & Maintenance: Vendor must provide details of any warranty coverage and available maintenance service agreements

Truck Specifications

• CCTC requires three (3) 2005 Sterling AT9500 trucks with the following features:
• Engine: Caterpillar C13
• Transmission: Manual
• Condition: Serviced, inspected, and road-ready
• Tires & Brakes: 75% or better tread/brake life remaining
• Matching Fleet: All trucks must be identical in make, model, and configuration

Trailer Specifications

• The bid must include the following trailers, each meeting the specified conditions:
  • One (1) Low Profile 48' Semi Dry Van Trailer
    • Serviced, inspected, and road-ready
    • Tires & Brakes: 75% or better tread/brake life remaining
  • One (1) Flat Deck Semi Trailer (45' or longer)
    • Good decking material
    • Serviced, inspected, and road-ready
    • Tires & Brakes: 75% or better tread/brake life remaining
  • One (1) Step Deck Semi Equipment Trailer (40' or longer)
    • Must be capable of hauling 40 tons
    • Good decking material
    • Serviced, inspected, and road-ready
    • Tires & Brakes: 75% or better tread/brake life remaining

Bid Requirements

• Bidders must meet state and federal law licensing and insurance requirements for public school construction projects.
• The contractor is responsible for securing all required permits.
• The bidder must be in good standing with public entities in Ohio, verified through the Ohio Finding for Recovery Database.
• Bids must include proposed payment terms, though the district reserves the right to negotiate final payment terms with the awarded bidder.

• Bid Opening: Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Lawrence County JVSD Board Office.

Bids must be sealed, labeled as “Truck and Trailer Procurement,” and include two (2) copies of the proposal.

All work must comply with Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.46 and applicable state and federal regulations. The LCJVSD Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject bids.
