Overview
The Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District (LCJVSD) will receive sealed bids for the installation of new parking lot lighting at the Collins Career Technical Center, South Point Campus, located at 154 Co Rd 450, South Point, OH 45680.
Project Specifications
- Install new foundations for parking lot lighting poles, per supplied drawings and detail sheets.
- Perform ditching and excavation work necessary for installation.
- Conduct horizontal boring where required to avoid disturbing existing driveways and concrete areas.
- Install necessary conduits and wiring, fed from the existing building, accounting for voltage drop.
- Install new lighting fixtures and poles:
- Lighting Fixtures: Atlas Origin Series, Fully Selectable Area Light (Model ORASEL30-43L)
- Lumen outputs selectable between 29,000 and 43,500 lumens
- Selectable color temperatures: 3000K, 4000K, 5000K
- Includes photocontrols, shorting caps, and tool-free adjustable optics.
- Poles: Atlas Square Straight Steel Poles
- Pole sizes and mounting configurations as per provided cut sheets.
- Install lighting controls and contactors for simultaneous on/off operation.
- Include all necessary permits and state-approved drawings.
- All work must meet applicable Ohio Revised Code, state, and federal requirements.
Special Notes
- Horizontal boring is specifically required under existing driveways and concrete areas to avoid surface damage.
- Foundations must match the specifications outlined in the detailed design documents.
- Compliance with IP65 wet location rating and Design Lights Consortium (DLC) qualifications is required for fixtures.

Bid Requirements
- Bidders must meet state and federal law licensing and insurance requirements for public school construction projects.
- The contractor is responsible for securing all required permits.
- The bidder must be in good standing with public entities in Ohio, verified through the Ohio Finding for Recovery Database.
- Bids must include proposed payment terms, though the district reserves the right to negotiate final payment terms with the awarded bidder.

- Bid Opening: Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM on the Lawrence County JVSD Board Office deadline day.
Bids must be sealed, clearly labeled as “South Point Campus Security Project,” and include two (2) copies of the proposal.
All work must comply with Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.46 and applicable state and federal regulations. The LCJVSD Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject bids.
