PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sale of Surplus Personal Property by Sealed (Closed) Bid
Notice is hereby given that the Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District (the “District”), pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.41 and Board Policy DID (Fixed Assets), will offer for sale at public auction certain surplus personal property owned by the District, as more fully described in the attached/accompanying Item List (“Exhibit A”), which is incorporated herein by reference and is not part of this Notice.
1. Description of Property
The property offered for sale consists of surplus equipment, vehicles, and related items no longer needed for District purposes, as itemized in Exhibit A. Exhibit A may be obtained from the District website at collins-cc.edu/district-information/bids, by contacting Hollie Lambert at lamberthr@collins-cc.edu or (740) 867-6641 Ext. 206, or in person at the District board office.
2. Inspection of Property
Property may be inspected by appointment Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., at the location noted in Exhibit A. To schedule an inspection, contact Hollie Lambert at lamberthr@collins-cc.edu or (740) 867-6641 Ext. 206.
3. Submission of Bids
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID – [ITEM/LOT NUMBER(S)],” and must reference the item or lot number(s) from Exhibit A.
Bids must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on August 25, 2026, at:

Bids received after this deadline will not be considered.
Bids may be submitted by mail or hand delivery. Faxed or emailed bids are not accepted.
Each bid must include the bidder’s full name, mailing address, phone number, and signature, along with the bid amount for each item or lot bid upon.
4. Bid Opening
Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m. on August 25, 2026, at the District office. The bid opening is open to the public.
5. Terms and Conditions of Sale
- All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS,” with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, as to condition, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be accepted for any reason once a bid is awarded and accepted by the District.
- The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in any bid, and to re-advertise, in its sole discretion.
- Award will be made to the highest responsive and responsible bidder for each item or lot, subject to a minimum price where noted on Exhibit A.
- Successful bidders will be notified the same day of the bid opening and must remit full payment by cash, certified check, or money order within 3 days of notification of award.
- All purchased items must be removed from District property by August 28, 2026, at the buyer’s sole expense and risk. Items not removed by this date may be forfeited / subject to storage fees, per District policy.
- Buyer is responsible for all applicable sales tax, titling, and registration fees, unless otherwise exempt by law.
