Mass Media Engineering

The mass media engineering program at Collins is a unique marriage of technology and creativity, no longer are student's ideas confined to a piece of paper. The MME program is a production based program where we focus on music production, video production and graphic arts. At the heart of the MME program is the industry standard Digidesign's "Pro-Tools" music production software, Sony's "Vegas" video production software as well as a myriad of other programs. Students that participate in the MME program experience a hands on real world working environment from the MME program instructor, Caleb Jones, Mr. Jones is a Full Sail graduate and Nashville music industry veteran.

"Students will have a chance to express their creativity using industry standard equipment in a real-world working environment. Students will have projects to produce for outside clients and will have a chance to do an internship their senior year. My hope is that the students will get paid to do what they love to do," explains Mr. Jones.

The MME program will be working on such projects as: recording and mixing a demo. a for local artist's, creating sound FX for games, creating pod casts, creating soundtracks, shooting and editing videos (music videos, interviews, industrial instructional videos, sporting events, etc.) as well as producing a news program. If you are interested in seeing your ideas come to life, then this is the program for you!

"I dream for a living."
